Our webhosting allows us to have individual personalized blogs for folks. There’s a link to that section on the front page of the site, to the left, right under the link to the forum. Clicking that button will bring you to the NA-Recovery.org BlogAdmin page, which has a step by step walkthrough on how to set up your own blog page. Here’s the steps to do that:

To set up a blog, the steps are fairly simple.

1. Click the link that says "Log In." This will take you to a screen where you can either enter a username and password, or register.

2. Click Register.

3. Enter your "Login" name. This will be the name you use to log into your blog. It will also be part of the address for your blog.
Example: Login: Addict1 becomes: https://na-recovery.org/blogs/u/Addict1

4. Enter your email address, password, and the name you would like your blog to have.

5. Submit your registration. This will send you an email with a link to validate your email address.

6. Check your email, and click the link. This will bring you to a screen, with an explanation of where to find your blog, and should also log you in. Up at the top of the screen is a header, with links for "Dashboard," "See," "Write," etc.

7. To customize your blog, click on "Customize, and select your preferences, including a skin (what your blog looks like) and what you would like displayed.

8. Click "Write" and start writing!

To view a friend’s blog:

Log in with your name and password.

When you see the journal page come up, click "Dashboard" up at the top of the page. This will bring you to a screen that shows a list of options.

Click on the word "Global" on the far left. This will show you a list of members with journal pages. Click the url (ie. https://na-recovery.org/blogs/u/addict), and it will bring you to their journal.

As always, feel free to leave a message here, or to send me a PM or hit me up in the chat room if you need help with any of these steps, I’ll do my best to walk you through.

Well folks,
I have got the blog site so screwed up I don’t know where to go to get it fixed. I did some things to help make it a bit more secure and messed up a setting badly…and I am unable to figure out how to fix the damn thing. I have spent time over the last month on the support forum for this blogware without any tangible results other than further confusion on my part. there are a couple of other settings I am going to try changing in a last ditch effort to get it fixed. At this point, when we move our web presence to the new web address, if it isnt fixed…I am going to install a different blogging program and start over. Hopefully I will be able to salvage the content of your blogs and get the data moved…but no promises on that.

Sincere apologies… the screw up was mine

No worries Lon! It’s all good! I may suggest that for those of you that blog to do it in the personal stories section of the forum for the time being.
